Today’s post is a sweet Body-weight Toning Session sample from Erin Nielsen, PT, PBCE, Author of “Toned In 10”
WARNING: Before I introduce you to Erin, don’t be fooled by her youthful appearance. She’s 41, but looks 21 !! AMAZING.
NOTE: As always, we suggest you get your doctor’s clearance before started any type of fitness/exercise program. Especially if you’ve been sedentary/inactive for some time.
Erin heard about my Fitness Freebie Friday and asked if she could provide something for you, this week. And here it is. She calls it:
Goodbye Jiggle is actually just one of the videos from her complete “Toned In 10” program, (worth a look btw)
It’s a short, body-weight toning routine – that is geared toward beginners – but can be used by intermediates for a little upper-body/core variety – or adding into a current routine.
While the forward punches and arm circles may be “easy” moves – the plank walk-outs could be challenging for most people. So if you’re a beginner – and you want to do the plank walk-outs, try modifying them to a shorter range – instead of going full range.
These are the 5 moves in “Goodbye Jiggle”
1) Forward punch – (alternating sides) – 60 seconds [ if too easy, squat lower]
2) Arm Circles – (30 seconds forward, 30 seconds back) – 60 seconds
3) Commandos – (alternating sides)- 30 seconds
4) Plank Walk out – 30 Seconds
5) Straight Arm Plank Hold – Hold 20 Seconds
SIDE NOTE: Regarding her incredible youth preservation habits – I’ve asked if she would share some of her secrets with us. And she promised to provide some goodies, to give you some key insights as to how she literally looks half her age. Stay tuned for that.
