The discussion of “cellulite” is one that touches women of all ages. It can affect women ranging from teenagers all the way through the post-menopause years; and all phases in between.
But there is deep confusion surrounding this word and many women have been led astray because of this; only to find they are never able to fix the problem once and for all.
There are some women who notice the dimples and shadows called “cellulite” at specific times of their life (post-puberty, pregnancy, etc…) and unscrupulous marketers take advantage of this timing to make certain women believe something which is not true at all; simply to get them to pay for some type of far-fetched fix to the problem.
Now it’s time to shed some light on the lies and facts about the word “cellulite”.
First, we clear the table by highlighting what cellulite is NOT…
Cellulite Is Not:
A genetic curse for life: Just because the older broads in your family (mother, aunt, sister, etc…) have dimples, bumps and shadows on their lower bodies doesn’t mean you’ll necessarily have them – and more importantly that you have to keep them if you do get them. No way.
Toxic waste build up: Our liver and kidneys do a perfect job of keeping the human body safe from any kind of toxin build-up. If not, we would be dead.
Pockets of trapped fat: LOL… who thinks of this stuff?!!
Bands of tight connective tissue pulling down skin: Yeah, that’s a good one.
Lumpy fat deposits: Oh yeah, really creative now.
Skin deformity: This one is really freaking pushing it. Sad, but true.
Dead skin cells: Uh-huh, the beauty spa clinics love this one.
Side effect of pregnancy: ok there may be a hair of truth in this one (even so; the dimples and shadows which show up after baby are not permanent).
A result of puberty: Sick, just sick.
Alright; those are the biggies and we may have left one or two out. But the point is this: the dimples bumps and shadows are not caused by ANY of the items listed above. All those are clever marketing angles to lead desperate women down the wrong path to another ineffective and maybe even dangerous, solution.
Dealing With Cellulite and Dealing With Excess Body-Fat Are 2 Totally Different Things
I want to be clear here. When we are using the word “cellulite” we are not talking about a woman who has 20 or 40 pounds to lose (or more, etc…) We are talking about the average female who actually loves the size of her body and likes the weight she is at (ok, maybe a few want to lose 3 or 4 lbs…)
But, the “cellulite topic” we are focusing on is the appearance of the dimpled surface skin – and the shadow bumps on the buns, thighs and hips.
In reality most women who see these shadows and dimples when they are nude or wearing a bikini – are actually total hotties when they are dressed. BUT, it’s the issue that shows when naked. It’s what they see in the mirror on their lower bodies right before they step into the shower – or right when they step out.
She Looks Stunning When Dressed, But Naked – She Hates the Mirror
Put on a shape hugging pair of jeans, or a form fitted skirt and look out baby because this type of woman turns heads. BUT, it’s when the sexy outfit is off, when the problem shows up.
So, What Is It? What Causes It? And What Can Be Done About It?
“Cellulite” is the appearance of dimples, bumps and shadows on the skin’s surface. It is a word which DESCRIBES that visual appearance. Cellulite is not actually a thing of any sort.
These dimples, bumps and shadows on the skin’s surface are caused by mushy, flat and un-toned muscles which sit beneath those areas of the dimpled skin. Since the muscles are flat and mushy, the skin has no firm base of support under it, so it sags, puckers and buckles; because it’s not pulled tightly; it’s very loose and jiggly.
The anatomical/physiological term for muscles in this condition is: Muscular Atrophy.
The way to reverse the cause of the dimples, bumps and shadows is by reversing the muscular atrophy. By getting the muscles to tone-up, lift upward and get firmly shaped, they naturally push outward against the mushy skin, causing it to get pulled tightly and take on a smooth and even texture.
When the skin is pulled tightly in this natural manner, the dimples and shadows fade away and are no longer there because the skin has been leveled out and now those former problem zones and trouble spots look sensually sculpted and attractive.
